The exterior of this vehicle adopts a new look owing some of its cues to a slide of competitive vehicles that occupy the gap between SUVs and crossovers.

It looks like a shift toward a SUV-ish, 4Runner-ish style which is exactly opposite to the on-going trend in most of the big crossovers. This works well than on the Honda Pilot but it also wonders us as a 4Runner would deliver exactly what the Highlander does.

The engine option includes a 2.7-liter four-cylinder producing 187 hp and a 3.5-liter V6 making it 270 horsepower. A hybrid model is paired to V6 along an electric motor to give 280 horsepower.

The fuel economy is estimated at 20 mpg city and 25 mpg highway. The new six-speed transmission provides an additional gear ensures better fuel economy. A front-wheel drive is standard for the Highlander while it offers all-wheel drive as an option.

Eight passengers can seat well while, behind the third-row bench, it offers significant space for cargo.
