Chevrolet is thrilled to continue their quest of binging in more and more owners who could join their already significant plug-in family. With the announcement of their 2016 Volt pricing, the General Motors owned company clearly targeted a wider audience this time.
Per their announcement, the starting price for the new Volt – with the federal tax credit – will be at $26,495. The federal tax can actually range from $0 to $7,500. However, there are some states where the customers can buy those cars for an even lower price.
In California, which happens to be the most active state when it comes to the Volt brand, the people are actually able to buy the new Volt for as low as $24,995, after all taxes and other incentives. “The next-generation Chevrolet Volt delivers more technology, the ability to drive further between gas fill-ups and now with even more value to our customers. It’s what our loyal Volt owners told us they wanted,” – said Steve Majoros, director of Chevrolet Marketing. The Volt remains one of the company’s top brands, but what’s even more important is General Motors’ ability to attract new customers. More than 70% of all new Volt owners have traded in a non-GM vehicle in order to get one.
