We have all heard the famous saying of ‘Old is Gold’ and to prove its prevalence, Jaguar Rover has confirmed affirmatively to build six race cars on the Lightweight E-Type designs of 1963. These are being created with the vision to complete the series of eighteen cars and have been planned to assign them the chassis numbers which were assigned to the older six cars which were never built then. The first end product of new cars which are being built to the exact specifications of the previous twelve cars is estimated to be launched by the summer end. The main features of the project is that these cars would be hand-built by the company’s expert craftsmen and will have the same aluminum body and 3.8-litre straight-six engine as their older counterpart. This project can be seen as a mark of respect and honor to the history of Jaguar cars.
