Last month, eight Corvettes fell into the sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum. The workers have started removing these cars from the sinkhole and the first one to reach the ground level is Corvette ZR1 also known as “Blue Devil”.
Blue Devil
It has been reported that there were two cars of Blue Devil ZR1 which fell into the sinkhole. The 2009 Corvette ZR1 has been brought up while the other one 1993 ZR-1 Spyder is still inside the hole. It has also been reported that the ZR1 even made to the doorway of the Skydome under its own power.
These cars are the property of the General Motors though the museum claims that these are nearly unscathed but still the company is willing to give it a thorough checkup. In fact, it is said that all the cars that will be removed from the pit will go for the road-worthiness checkup and only after that they would be on display at the National Corvette Museum.
The museum has also provided with the rough schedule for the removal of the other cars yet it seems to be a difficult task as there are some vehicles under the rubble which are not even visible deep under the sinkhole.
