2014 Chevrolet Volt

When it comes to electric cars, Chevrolet Volt has managed to exceed all expectations and records. According to the study done by General Motors, Volt owners are already exceeding their EPA rated label of 35 miles of EV range per full charge. The all-new 2014 Chevrolet Volt provides owners with fuel economy of EPA estimated 98 MPGe and 35 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway saving Volt owners around $1,450 in annual fuel charges without changing their driving habits.

GM’s most technologically advanced car comes with range extended hybrid electric engine that can offer the right level of fuel economy that car owners prefer. The car engine is connected with 16kW lithium-ion battery pack of 110 volts which take around 8 to 9 hours to recharge. When the battery is depleted, a 1.4 liter four cylinder gasoline engine kicks in to generate more electricity to keep the vehicle going.
