I recently completed 5,000 km with my car modifications, and I must say, the vehicle has become quite good to drive. The experience has been nothing short of exhilarating, and I’m excited to share my journey with fellow enthusiasts. As I reflect on the past six months, I’ve noticed significant improvements in my car’s performance, fuel economy, and overall driving experience. The modifications I’ve made have been instrumental in transforming my car into a beast on the road.
Service Experience
My car’s 22.5k km service was a smooth experience at SAB Motors, Mathura Road. I arrived sharp at 9 am and was first in the bay. The service was completed within 2-2.5 hours, and I was impressed by the efficiency of the team. The cost of the service was around Rs 2500, which I felt was reasonable considering the quality of work. The car’s performance on highways and daily city drives has been flawless. I’ve driven on various routes, including the famous NH-44, and the car has handled every curve and straightaway with ease.
Performance Upgrades
I’ve made several performance upgrades to my car, which have significantly improved its driving experience. Here are some of the modifications I’ve made:
• Upgrading the stock air filter to a BMC Performance stock replacement one
• Installing a throttle controller from Wind Booster GT
The engine note has become more throaty, and the car can breathe much better. The power delivery is more linear, and the car pulls nicely, especially in sport+ mode.
Other Upgrades
In addition to the performance upgrades, I’ve also upgraded my audio system with a JBL Basspro Nano underseat subwoofer. The sound quality has improved significantly, and the subwoofer adds a new level of depth to the music.
Future Mods Planned
I have several future mods planned, including:
• Suspension upgrade to improve handling around corners
• Complete sound dampening
• Upgrading the speakers with components and an amplifier for better vocals
• Upgrading the steel wheels to alloys
• Upgrading the tyres to a set of wider ones for better grip
These upgrades will further enhance my car’s performance, comfort, and overall driving experience.
