Chevrolet is all set to bring out their new performance sedan 2014 Chevrolet SS and recently the car maker has announced that the suggested retail price of the vehicle is $44,470 which also includes $995 destination charge. Chevrolet said that the new 2014 SS will be available for sale in the last quarter of the year 2013. Chevrolet claims that this will allow them to get into the competitive market of performance sedan and they can provide more variety to the customers.

On the outside, 2014 Chevrolet SS definitely looks sharp and crisp and sporty as the designers have redesigned the overall structure of the vehicle. The vehicle gets a power dome in the center of the hood while it also gets some chrome accents on the top of the grille and behind air vents as well. On the rear side 2014 Chevrolet SS gets trunk mounted spoiler with tail lights that are similar to any other family car which can be a bit of a disappointment for buyers that need performance sedan that looks aggressive. However, Chevrolet has up the performance with 6.2 liter V8 engine that has been retuned to produce 415 horsepower and 415 lb feet of torque. The engine is mated with six speed automatic transmission with TAPshift paddles. The car offers acceleration of zero to 60 mph in almost five seconds. In terms of performance the new 2014 Chevrolet SS is on par with Camaro SS.

The vehicle also gets better safety features like StabiliTrak Stability Control, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Zone Alert, and Rear and Forward Collision Alert. Chevrolet has not provided more information on the interiors but 2014 SS will have the nice ice-blue ambient lighting system with leather seats. The car maker also said that they have improved the legroom for both front and rear passengers. The all new 2014 Chevrolet SS will be a competitor to other performance sedans like 2014 Charger R/T and 2014 Taurus SHO.
