Nissan has finally taken the wraps off Altima V8 Supercar at Melbourne and is well in time as it gets ready for V8 Supercars Championship in Australia next season. It has been nearly two decades since any new model has been launched by Nissan. V8 racer runs on VK56DE 5.6 litre V8 engine of the 2013 Patrol 4WD wagon’s.

The VK56 engine will power Nissan Patrol 2013 that goes on sale next year in February. The same engine powers the Titan, Nissan, Armada and Pathfinder. William F. Peffer, CEO and Managing Director of Nissan Australia feels it is a proud day for Nissan as well as V8 Supercars. The team is energized about striking the track in the next season with V8 Supercar. Altima V8 includes self-regulating rear suspension, transaxle gearbox and 18 inch wheels. The racer will soon hit the track for the first time to go through aerodynamic testing.

The racer looks handsome in red and black and features Altima, Nissan and Nismo logos. Nissan sure is proud of the day and a very significant day too for V8 Supercars. This is a time of innovation and excitement for the Nissan and V8 Supercars Championship. The team has really done a marvelous job designing and building the all-new V8 Supercar.
