Scion Reveals the MSRP for 2013 FR-S

For many past months, Scion has been talking about their new sports car that they have named as FR-S , but the company today went ahead to announce the new price for the new car that will soon come up in the market. The all new 2013 Scion FR-S will be a sports car that will be loved many car buyers that love to speed their vehicles on the roads.

Scion has finally come up with the market price for their new race car 2013 FR-S which will be soon available in the market. Sharing more information about the new price tag the company said that the new race car which is a rear wheel drive sports car will have the MSRP of $24,200 when it is incorporated with six speed manual transmission. However, the car will cost $1100 more when buyers need it with six speed automatic transmission. This means that the final MSRP of 2013 Scion FR-S with automatic transmission will be $25,300. However, the company has justified that the price difference is only because they provide paddle shifters and rev-match technology. The company has announced that the car will be available in the market by spring 2012.

Jack Hollis, VP Scion has expressed his views that Scion had aimed for a better car that can satisfy drivers that love to race their cars and they have done it with FR-S 2013. He also said that Scion buyers will enjoy the other features that are added in the car like Scion Service Boost which provides consumers with more than 1000 dealers in the network. He also went ahead to reveal that the idea behind the birth of FR-S was born from the combination of performance cars and motorsports built by Toyota. Scion FR-S 2013 is a combination of features taken from AE86 Toyota Corolla and other sports cars in the market.

The company revealed that the new Scion FR-S will have a 2.0 liter four cylinder engine that is developed jointly by Toyota and Subaru. The engine is coupled with six speed manual or automatic transmission depending on consumer’s demand. The designers have redesigned the body of the car to make it more lightweight and fuel efficient and compact as well. The engine has the power to produce more than 200 horsepower and 151 lb feet of torque. The company also said that the exterior of Scion FR-S 2013 is inspired from Toyota 2000GT.
